Inspired by ME!

As you know, my mom is a soapmaker, that's actually how she keeps me and little brother in cat food :-) So She made a soap, inspired by me,the stripey one! She called it "Murray" and it says on the label that it's the cat's pajamas, really bad pun! Here's a picture of what it looks like, she was going for a stripey-ish look. It's a jasmine/tiarre flower blend.

I have been very busy lately trying to teach my brother Spike, how to be a good kitty, he only has one speed: Naughty. To his defense, he is part Siamese, like these guys, guess that's a good excuse!

Yes that's me, I'm on my back doing "toe-touches". They tell me I"m getting fatter, I need to do more red-dot chasinging I think. My mom was very surprised to see me laying on my back in her lap, what can I say, the mood just came over me!

he's always up to something

My little brother, the humans think he's adorable, I do too most of the time. It's when I'm sitting in someone's lap and he comes over for no good reason and bites me in the ear, I tell him to knock it off and the human gets mad and we BOTH get kicked out of the lap! Well, he is pretty cute, I guess I can forgive him. He's quite at home in the bathroom sink as you can see!

My mom's friend brought her some fresh Brentwood Sweet Corn yesterday from the Concord Farmers Market. She was taking that green stuff off the outside and my little brother (as always) was acting in a most undistinguished manner, he was chasing those green things all over the house! Man did he make a mess. Oh to be a kitten!

Spikes new favorite thing to do

Little brother has just discovered that the table cloth on the table in the dining room can come off! So, when no one is looking, he pulls it all the way off, and there it is all wadded up on the floor! Of course my people know that I would never do anything that undignified!

General Hospital

My humans watch this show on TV called General Hospital. I have seen it although they think I have no clue about it. My official stance is that it's sentimental hogwash. (although I hope Sonny and Carly get back together!)

Some of my friends

A customer of my mom's at the Farmers Market was asking her why we go to Antioch Veterinary Hospital. Mom used to be a Registered Veterinary Technician before she made/sold handmade soap for a living. She told the lady that having worked there, she knows firsthand the kind of care we get, and all the Doctors and staff are really nice to Spike and me. She also told the lady how they are AAHA certified, that's like having a Michelin Star for a restaurant. Mom says I'm a mushpot, I'm not sure what that is, I think it has to do with my regal looks!

The deed is done

My little brother got his "tutoring" done today. He's sleeping right now although he was running around like his tail was on fire most of the day! My boy Cody pointed out that Spike can actually run much faster now, he's more aerodynamic! Feel better little brother!

Little Brother

This is Spike, my brother, he's younger than me and I heard my mom make an appointment for him for Monday. I think she said he's going to get "tutored"? He's pretty cute for a little brother, I love playing "run around the dining room table" with him.

The Shadow

I love my mom (and everyone else too!) so much. I love to follow her where ever she goes, I am curious what she does, is she seeing other cats? So, I follow her everywhere, you humans are strange creatures!

Always remember

To snuggle up with a loved one at every opportunity. I don't think Spike and I will be able to do that mush longer, not there anyhow!

OOH Spike did it!

My little brother got up on Mom's table and knocked over her coffee cup, spilled the whole thing, all over her phone and some paper looking stuff with lots of numbers on it. Trust me you do NOT wanna make mom mad before she's had her morning coffee, especially WITH her morning coffee!

Did someone say....

That's about the only human food I will eat, I think alot of what the humans eat, they should'nt eat either! (although my little brother Spike will eat nearly anything, including biscotti!

What I do best...

To the average Human, it looks like I'm sleeping on my cat perch. I do spend many hours a day up here. I'm actually listening for my people to say something ineteresting, now THAT will make me sleep!

I tell her she needs to take about 11 cat naps a day like me, she says it's not convenient, but you see who has the energy to blog and who doesn't!

Me again

I was giving great thought last night to what my next blog post should be. At first I thought maybe it should be about the coffee table, I spend hours staring at it in case it does something, but it never does, so, that makes ME much more ineteresting! As you can see by the picture, I am even handsome as a painting.
I have also decided that I need to do something about my pronounciation. My people thought I said "I want to get waxed" - can you imagine what a mess that would be? Have you seen how hairy I am?! What I said was "I want to see a giraffe" - the never take me to the zoo!

Cute Little Feet

For whatever reason, my mom thinks Spike's feet are about the cutest things there are (other than baby pigs and Pit Bulls). So she snapped this picture of him kicking back. That paw in the picture belongs to Harleigh, the Ancient One and I have NO idea what she's doing!

Little Geisha

Little known fact that some of us have been designated as Geisha's, even though we are not even female. We have to go through our very own training. Here I am demonstrating how it's done, on my human-mom. She says I am much better than the heating pad!I've alreay done all the hard work! :-)

Family Portrait

Here we are, all 3 of us. As you can see, Spike is tiny but he's a little bigger than that now, and yes, I know, isn't that about the most hideous couch you've ever seen? It is however, fabulous when the mood hits for a hair ball. Actually, personally, I prefer to perform my hairballs on the floor, they are pretty unpleasant for me to begin with, but when one of the humans steps in one barefooted, the look of disgust on their face almost makes it worth it!

It would be rude to not introduce myself, I am a very special Stripey Person. My humans, I think they say I'm a "Tabby cat" whatever that is. I live with my mom-human, and the cranky-dad-person (to be fair he's mostly that way when he doesn't get his Pepsi fix), Cody, he's very cool and I was supposed to really be his Stripey Person, but I had other ideas, oh and Harleigh, she's this ancient being, of the feline persuation, and, last but not least, my little brother Spike. He's adopted but shshshsh! More later. Nice to meet you!
